Quick start
- How do I control the paddle?
- Swipe left or right anywhere on the screen to move the paddle around the rim. Hold near either edge to keep turning. Lift and touch again anywhere; the paddle does not jump to your finger.
- How do I launch the ball?
- Tap the arena when the launch prompt is shown. After launch, follow the return angle and move the paddle into the ball’s path.
- How do I use Blast?
- Build charge through play. A ready ball glows mint. Double-tap the playfield or tap Blast to detonate around it; Blast-radius upgrades and temporary powers change the area.
- What do lift pads and portals do?
- Lift pads launch balls over low walls toward airborne targets. Linked portals move a ball to the exit and point it along the exit arrow.
- What happens after wave 10?
- Wave 10 records a victory. You can finish the run there or continue into an endless sequence with stronger combinations.
Runs and saves
- How do I enter or replay a Run code?
- From the main screen tap Run options, choose Standard or Remix, and enter letters, numbers, or dashes in Run code. RECENT RUNS in the Journal also offers replay. Daily run uses its fixed Run code.
- Can I resume after closing the app?
- The game saves a recovery checkpoint around run boundaries and when the app moves to the background. If one is available, the main screen shows Continue Run. An interrupted active wave may restart from its saved wave boundary and is shown as Wave restarted.
- What stays after a run?
- Wave upgrades reset. Records, discoveries, earned paddle colors, RECENT RUNS, Challenge rule progress, and settings stay on this device.
- How do I start a different run?
- Choose Main Menu from Pause, then New Run for a fresh Standard run or Run options to customize one. Starting a replacement run asks for confirmation. After a run ends, Main Menu returns home.
Scores and Game Center
- Which scores reach the public leaderboard?
- A score is eligible when you finish the 10-wave milestone on Standard difficulty and the Standard course, without a continue or restarted wave. Practice scores stay on the device. Network and Game Center availability still apply.
- Why did my score stay local?
- Open Run details and check whether a continue or wave restart was used. Then check your Game Center sign-in. You can sign in or open the board from Settings > Leaderboards. Network or Game Center availability can also delay or prevent submission.
- What is score for?
- Score measures how well a run went in your personal records. Eligible 10-wave scores can also appear on Game Center. Hitting targets and keeping a streak earns more points; score itself does not make survival easier.
Ads, purchases, and privacy
- Where will I see ads?
- Ads can appear on the pause screen, results screen, and occasionally between runs, subject to your privacy choices and provider availability. Watching an ad for one recovery after a loss is optional. Choose Continue, or Rewind when eligible; either choice spends the run’s single recovery. Ads never cover the playing field. Remove Ads removes those in-game ads and makes the chosen recovery ad-free.
- How do I remove ads or restore a purchase?
- Open Settings and choose Remove Ads. The App Store shows the current localized price before confirmation. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes pause and results banners and between-run interstitials and makes one shared recovery per run ad-free: Continue, or Rewind when eligible. Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account after reinstalling or changing devices.
- The rewarded recovery did not work.
- A recovery is granted only after the ad provider confirms completion. Keep the app in the foreground until the ad closes. If no ad is available or it fails, the shared recovery is not spent; Continue remains available. Retry later or start a fresh run.
- How do I change privacy choices?
- Open Settings. Share gameplay and crash data is on for new installations and can be turned off at any time. Saved off choices are respected. Ad Choices opens the advertising choices available for your region.
- The game looks pixelated or runs slowly.
- Open Settings > Visual Quality. Automatic adapts to device load; High prioritizes detail and Low prioritizes frame rate. Close other demanding apps, let the phone cool, and turn off Low Power Mode if performance remains limited.
- Sound, motion, or vibration is uncomfortable.
- Settings includes master, music, effects, Reduced Motion, turning speed, direction, and vibration feedback. Adjust them before continuing to play.
