Controls, magnet powers, saves, ads and purchases, and a direct line to the developer.
Report an ad
If an ad is inappropriate or appears to break the game's rules, use the AdChoices control on the ad or email the developer with the time, screen and what it showed. If the game opened this page after you tapped Report an ad, the details below are attached to the email draft for the ad provider's investigation.
Contact
Tell us the game version (shown at the bottom of Settings), your device model, iOS or Android version, the level or Rift Run, and what happened just before the problem. Please do not send passwords or payment card details.
Quick start
- How do I steer the army?
- Drag left or right anywhere on the screen. The army follows your finger's movement, so you can start a drag anywhere.
- How do I use the magnet powers?
- Tap Attract (left button) to pull enemies into a vortex ahead of the army, or Repel (right button) to fire a shockwave that throws enemies back and knocks shots away. Both use the magnet meter between the buttons, which fills as you defeat enemies, pass energy gates and pick up scrap. You can keep steering with one finger while you tap a power with another. Attract unlocks on level 4 and Repel on level 9.
- How do gates work?
- Gates come in pairs. The panel your army's leader runs through is applied once: plus and times add soldiers, minus and divide remove them. Some gates show a number that climbs when you shoot them. A lock gate holds a transformation; shoot the lock open before you reach it or the army bounces off and loses soldiers.
- How do I pause?
- Tap the pause button at the top left. The game also pauses when you leave the app.
- What is Rift Run?
- Rift Run is the endless mode. It opens once you beat the Iron Warlord on level 10, and it needs an internet connection. The road keeps going through the eras and your score is the distance you cover, in metres. Your best distance is saved on your device.
- Can I play offline?
- Partly. Without a connection you can play a few campaign levels a day, and the game shows how many are left. When the daily allowance runs out, a "Connect to keep marching" card appears with Retry connection. A started level continues, but a storage failure or force-close before a checkpoint can prevent the latest progress from surviving a reload. If ads cannot load because they are blocked, the same allowance applies and the card says "Ads couldn't load". Rift Run, rewarded videos, purchases and restoring purchases need the internet. If you have bought anything, offline campaign play has no daily limit.
Fights
- I keep losing soldiers to archer towers.
- Either march straight into the tower's base to pull it down, or steer around it with sharp sideways swerves: the archers aim ahead of your march, and a quick swerve makes their arrows miss. Once you have Repel, fire it as a volley comes down to send the arrows back at the tower. The archer tower and boss guide goes through each option.
- I keep losing to a boss.
- Watch for the red ring, strip or line that appears before each attack, and move out of it. Then hit the boss hard during its weak window. Each boss opens its window differently, and a magnet power can open or stretch it. The boss section of the guide covers every boss.
- What does the defeat screen tip mean?
- After a defeat, the game names what cost you the most soldiers in that run and how to deal with it next time.
- Why did a level feel easier after I lost?
- If you lose the same level a few times in a row, the game eases its threats a little until you win. It never makes a level harder because you upgraded or bought something. Rift Run is never eased.
Progress and saves
- Where is my progress saved?
- On your device. There is no Magnet Mob account or cloud save. Deleting the app removes your progress from the device.
- Can I move my progress to a new phone?
- There is no Magnet Mob cloud save. Your phone's own backup or transfer may bring the game's data across, depending on your device and its settings. Purchases can be restored through the Apple Account or Google account that made them when the store and network are available; a restore failure needs a retry.
- How do I start again?
- Open Settings and choose Reset progress. This starts the game again and keeps your settings and purchases.
Ads, purchases and privacy
- Where will I see ads?
- Rewarded videos appear only when you choose them, and the reward is shown first. Full-screen interstitials appear only at eligible breaks between levels, not during a run or straight after a revive. An app-open ad may appear on the loading screen for some returning players, subject to pacing and availability. A banner can show on menu and result screens or in a reserved bottom strip during a run; it never covers the play area or controls.
- How do I remove ads or restore a purchase?
- Open Settings and choose Remove ads. The App Store or Google Play shows the price for your country before you confirm. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Any purchase, Remove Ads or the Starter Pack, turns off full-screen ads, banners and the ad at game start; rewarded videos stay available if you want them. To restore, choose Restore purchases in Settings while signed in with the Apple Account or Google account that bought it.
- I watched a rewarded video but did not get the reward.
- A reward is given only after the ad provider confirms the video finished. If the video was closed early or failed to load, no reward is given. Try again later, and email us with the time and the reward you expected if it keeps happening.
- Why does a reward button say "Not ready" or "Connect for bonus"?
- "Not ready" means the video has not loaded yet; the button switches on by itself when it has. "Connect for bonus" means you are offline or ads cannot load; tap it to see why. Free parts of an offer, such as the daily free recruit boost, stay free offline. Some rewards also have a daily limit; the game tells you when you reach it, and it resets the next day.
- How do I report an inappropriate ad?
- Tap the ad's AdChoices icon where it appears, or use the Report an ad section above. Include the time, the screen it appeared on and what the ad showed, so we can investigate.
- How do I change my privacy choices?
- Open Settings. Turn "Share gameplay and crash data" off at any time to stop sending analytics and crash reports. Privacy choices opens Google's consent form, where players in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland can review or change their ad and analytics consent. On iPhone, tracking permission is in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings under Ads. The privacy policy explains each choice.
- How do reminders work?
- Reminders are optional local notifications, for example when a reward is ready. The game asks for permission only after your first boss win and sends at most one a day. You can switch each kind of reminder off, or all of them in your phone's notification settings.
Performance, sound and comfort
- The game runs slowly or my phone gets warm.
- Open Settings and set Quality to Low. Auto lowers detail by itself when the frame rate drops. Closing other apps and turning off Low Power Mode can also help.
- Sound, motion or vibration is uncomfortable.
- Settings has separate switches for sound effects, music, haptics and reduced motion. Change them before you keep playing, and take a break if you feel unwell.
