Magnet Mob: Crowd Army Runner
Magnet Mob: Crowd Army Runner is a game for iPhone, iPad and Android made by Pranav Garg. On Google Play it is published under the developer name DamagedCronJob. This policy explains what stays on your device, what may leave it, and the choices you have.
The essentials · What the game handles · Your choices · Service providers · Retention · Children · Your rights
The essentials
- Magnet Mob has no account or login. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.
- Your progress, settings and the purchases you own are saved on your device. We do not run a server that receives them.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Where Google's consent message is required, including the European Economic Area and the UK, it asks for your choices first. On iPhone and iPad, Apple's tracking prompt asks before ads can use your advertising identifier.
- Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config and Firebase A/B Testing help us balance the game, fix crashes and test changes. This information is linked to identifiers for your installation, so it is pseudonymous, not anonymous. You can switch off "Share gameplay and crash data" in Settings at any time. Where Google's consent message is required, analytics and crash reports stay off until you consent.
- Apple or Google handles every payment. We never see your card or bank details.
- Magnet Mob is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.
What the game handles
| Data | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress and settings: levels reached, stars, gold, upgrades and guns, Rift Run bests, daily rewards and streaks, your sound, music, haptics, motion, graphics and data-sharing settings, and which purchases you own | To save your game, remember your settings and unlock what you own | On your device, in the app's storage. We do not receive it |
| Timing and pacing records: offline levels and minutes used today, when the time was last confirmed online, when an ad was last shown, how many rewarded videos you watched today, and session and active-day counts | To run the daily offline allowance, keep daily rewards fair, space out ads and keep to daily limits | On your device |
| Gameplay and app events: levels started, won, lost or quit; gates, powers, guns, upgrades and transformations used; towers and bosses beaten; tutorial steps; gold earned and spent; settings changes; ad offers, whether you watched them and the estimated ad revenue per placement; purchases (the product, price, currency and a one-way hash of the transaction ID) and failed purchase attempts; occasional performance samples such as frame rate; the app version | To balance difficulty, see where players get stuck, find performance problems, and measure ads and purchases in aggregate | Google Analytics for Firebase, only while "Share gameplay and crash data" is on and, where Google's consent message is required, after you consent. Until then, events wait on your device and are deleted if sharing is not allowed. Firebase adds an app instance identifier and device details such as model, operating system, language and a country or region inferred from your IP address. The game sets no user ID |
| Crash and diagnostic information: crash traces (for the game's own code, file names and line numbers), device and app details, the screen, level, mode, graphics quality and army size at the time, the last few screens you visited, and a Crashlytics installation identifier | To find and fix crashes and errors | Firebase Crashlytics. Reports are kept on your device and sent on a later launch only if sharing is allowed; otherwise they are deleted |
| Remote settings and test groups: once per session the game may download settings such as ad spacing and the offline allowance, and Firebase may place your installation in a test group | To tune the game and compare versions without an app update | Firebase Remote Config and Firebase A/B Testing, using a Firebase installation identifier stored on your device. The game applies the resolved consent and data-sharing gate before loading or retaining these settings; if the gate is not satisfied, or the request fails, it uses the settings built into the app |
| A time check: a request to a Google server that reads the current time from the response, at launch, when you retry the connection and when you reconnect | So daily rewards and the offline allowance cannot be changed by moving your device's clock | Google (Firebase). The request carries no identifier. Like any web request, it reaches Google with your IP address |
| Ad request and interaction information, which may include IP address, general location inferred from it, device and app information, your advertising identifier where permitted (on Android, the advertising ID and app set ID), ad impressions, clicks and diagnostics | To request, show, measure, cap and protect ads, and to personalise them where you allow it | Google AdMob and the advertising partners it works with, following your choices in Google's consent message and, on iPhone and iPad, Apple's tracking prompt |
| Your consent and tracking choices | To respect them every time you play | Stored on your device by Google's User Messaging Platform and by your operating system. They are sent with ad requests and set what Google Analytics for Firebase may collect |
| Purchases: the product you bought and whether it is still valid | To unlock the purchase, keep it working offline and restore it | Apple's App Store (StoreKit) or Google Play Billing processes the payment and confirms ownership. The game keeps a copy of what you own on your device. There is no Magnet Mob purchase server |
| Reminder schedules and notification permission, if you turn reminders on | To send optional reminders, for example when a reward is ready | Scheduled locally on your device. No reminder content is sent to us |
| Email address and message contents | To answer support or privacy requests | Received only when you email us |
Events that Magnet Mob writes itself contain game information, such as a level number or a power used. They never contain your name or email address. The game checks whether your device is online through the operating system; that check sends nothing to us. Haptics use your device's vibration and stay on the device.
Some advertising uses may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as targeted advertising, under the laws of some US states. Where that law applies, Google's consent message lets you opt out for the ads shown in the game.
Your choices
- Share gameplay and crash data: a switch in Settings. It is on when you install the game, except that where Google's consent message is required, including the European Economic Area and the UK, analytics and crash reports stay off until you consent. An explicit saved opt-out remains off when a device restore is incomplete. Turning the switch off stops new events and crash reports and deletes reports still waiting on your device. Information already sent cannot be recalled.
- Privacy choices: where Google requires it, Settings has a Privacy choices row that opens Google's consent form, where you can review or change your ad and data consent at any time.
- Apple tracking permission (iPhone and iPad): the game asks before your activity can be tracked across other companies' apps and websites. If you allow it, Google Mobile Ads and Google Analytics for Firebase may use your device's advertising identifier. Declining does not stop you playing and does not remove ads; the ads are less personalised. Change it any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android advertising ID: reset or delete it in your device's Google settings under Ads.
- Rewarded videos: always optional. The reward is shown before you choose to watch.
- Purchases and ads: any purchase, Remove Ads or the Starter Pack, turns off full-screen ads, banners and the ad at game start. Rewarded videos stay available if you want them.
- Reminders: optional local notifications. The game asks for notification permission only after your first boss win, sends at most one reminder a day, and you can switch each kind of reminder off, or all of them in your device's notification settings.
- Your progress: Settings > Reset progress starts the game again and keeps your settings and purchases. Deleting the app removes its data from the device. There is no Magnet Mob account or cloud save, but your device's own backup or transfer can include the game's data, depending on your operating system and settings.
Service providers
The game sends user data to these service providers, all operated by Google: Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase A/B Testing and Firebase Installations. Google AdMob may pass ad request information to the advertising partners it works with, under Google's policies. These providers process information under their own terms, privacy policies and data protection commitments; this policy describes the data flow from Magnet Mob and does not replace those provider terms. Apple and Google also process store, payment and device information as platform providers, under their own policies:
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- Google AdMob and advertising privacy
- Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure for iOS
- Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure for Android
- Privacy and security in Firebase
- Google Privacy Policy, including Google Play
- Apple Privacy Policy
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, prevent fraud, or protect the rights and safety of players and the game.
This website
These pages are hosted with GitHub Pages. GitHub may process request, IP address, browser and device information to deliver and protect the site, as explained in the GitHub General Privacy Statement. The Magnet Mob home page and guide use Google Analytics to count visits, with Google signals and ad personalisation signals turned off. This privacy page and the terms and support pages do not load it. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
Retention and security
Progress, settings and purchase records stay on your device until you reset them or delete the app, apart from any copy in your device's own backups. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to answer the request, protect the game or meet legal obligations.
Google Analytics keeps event data linked to an installation for 14 months; aggregated reports can be kept longer. Firebase states that Crashlytics keeps crash traces and their installation identifiers for 90 days. Other Firebase and Google services have their own retention rules, explained in Privacy and security in Firebase.
We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children
Magnet Mob is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us so we can look into it and delete it where appropriate. The store age rating describes the game's content and may differ from this intended audience.
International processing
Google, Apple, GitHub and email providers may process information in countries other than your own, under their own transfer arrangements.
Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, or to opt out of certain advertising uses. Withdraw analytics and crash-reporting consent with "Share gameplay and crash data" in Settings, and change ad and data consent in Settings > Privacy choices. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before.
Email pranavgarg@gmail.com with a privacy request. We may need some information to verify it. Because the game has no account, we may not be able to match a pseudonymous analytics or advertising record to you without more details.
Changes
We will update this page before the game's practices change, for example if we add cloud saves, accounts, leaderboards with other players or push notifications, and we will give any further notice the law requires. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions can be sent to pranavgarg@gmail.com.
